Some tools used in assembling the wings. Below is a platform that one worker can stand on while holding a wing tip during the upper wing installation. The same platform was used to install the engine, and will be used for leveling the airplane during rigging.

Rather than use two ladders, I designed a moveable scaffold to traverse the lower wing and support a worker at the upper wing root.

 


This is the restored BT-13 type fuel gage. Nice job, eh? Ed did the dial face


Now the airplane is basically together, after about 6,000 hours of labor. Yet to go are the flying wires, prop, rigging and a few inspection panels.
